Istrian Malvasia
Malvasia represents the best-known indigenous grape variety of Istria, recognizable by its pale straw-to-gold color with subtle green hints.
It charms with delicate yet layered aromas in which floral notes such as acacia blossom mingle with tones of fresh green apple and typical Mediterranean herbs like sage and coriander.
On the palate it is fresh and drinkable; its minerality together with an airy, polished acidity make it light, balanced and elegant with a harmonious body.
Malvasia stands out for its versatility and pairs perfectly with fresh fish, seafood, light Mediterranean specialties, vegetable dishes, mildly seasoned veal and dishes with a citrus dressing.
It shows its best qualities when served young and chilled at a temperature of 10 to 12 °C (50 to 54 °F).
